Wellness Summit Wiesbaden, Germany
October 13-14, 2006

With less than a month to go, the countdown to Wellness Summit in Wiesbaden, Germany is well under way! An international conference for the Professional Wellness, Spa and Medical Spa industry, the high profile Wellness & Spa Conference in the heart of Europe will bring together leading international spa owners, spa directors, hoteliers, medical spa professionals and chief editors from the five continents.

Be inspired by the spirit of a famous ancient European mineral springs spa city while discussing the international future of spa with the industry’s leading minds.

Wellness Summit Programme

Venue: Kurhaus Wiesbaden & Hotel Nassauer Hof Wiesbaden

Day 1 will be an exploration of the Wellness Summit’s theme, about bridging East and West and about the future of this booming world of spa. Andrew Gibson will start off the Summit with a keynote presentation on Spas Around the World – Today’s Key Topics. Future Developments. Other speakers include Susie Ellis from Spa Finder Inc., Richard Dusseau from Spa Strategy Inc. and Raoul Andrews Sudre from Aspen Spa Institut among others. The numerous discussion sessions over the course of the two days will also provide an excellent platform for lively interaction.

Day 2 turns its focus on learning from leaders, where examples of corporate spa strategies will be discussed. Speakers will expound on the business side of spa and wellness, and delegates will be given an insight into the realm of Medical Wellness and Spa. Catch Dr. Franz Linser, Andreas Wieser, Michael Altewischer and other speakers as they participate in a panel discussion about moving from ancient mineral springs spa traditions to modern European medical spa strategies.

SpaAsia Crystal Awards 2006: ANNOUNCING THE WINNERS

If you are unable to view this html page properly, click here.
A Night to Remember

The SpaAsia Crystal Awards Night went almost smoothly - except for an unavoidable technical glitch. However, the discomfort was mitigated by the exciting dance performances of a dance troupe from the Philippines. Also present on the night was the Philippines Ambassador to Thailand, Mr Antonia Rodriguez. The Philippines will be hosting the SpaAsia Wellness Summit in 2007.

The 11 categories saw stiff competition. Five of these categories saw the maximum number of nominees vying for the title (Best Hotel Spa, Best Resort Spa, Best Day Spa, Best Destination Spa, and Best Signature Treatment). In one award category, the Best Destination Spa, there was a tie. Dheva Spa at Mandarin Oriental Dhara Devi, Chiangmai and Pangkor Laut Resort, Malaysia emerged as joint winners.

To round up the SpaAsia Crystal Awards Night, delegates and everyone else took to the floor for some serious salsa, mambo and Latin grooves courtesy of a band flown in from the Philippines.
